Magistrate Anthony Meyer Jr. had a busy evening in Municipal Court. A Brooklyn man was fined $25 for careless driving. He was accused of having hit a couple from Morristown, PA when they attempted to cross Route 17 on foot. They testified that the driver had seemed to swerve toward rather than away from them. Two other men from New York were fined for being drunk and disorderly. They became abusive and had to be removed from a Short Line bus in Mahwah. (Bristow)
