This Day in History: 1958-07-24
Residents of Railroad Avenue protested forcefully about low water pressure on their street. E. I. Conklin, the spokesperson of the group, maintained that when the Brake Shoe was drawing from the main that ordinary residents could not even get a glass of water from their faucets. He said he was planning to dig his own well if nothing was done about the situation. The Board assured the companies that they would look into the situation. (Bristow)
