John A. Fellows, President of the Board of Education, announced that he would resign as of August 15th. He had accepted a position with a chemical company in St. Louis. Vice President Cyrus F. Tibbals III was to succeed to the presidency.
Fardale PTA members attended the meeting to protest the proposal to bus sixth grade students to a central location. They proposed an alternative arrangement. The Board sent the proposal back to the Committee. (Bristow)
