R. C. Hopkins of the Buildings and Grounds Committee of the School Board was authorized by the Board to attempt to solve the long-standing problem of not being able to get any shrubbery to grow around Betsy Ross School. He was to follow up the offer of the Mahwah Garden Club to donate shrubbery which knowledgeable people in the Club believed would grow there. (Bristow)
