This Day in History: 1948-06-30
Township Clerk Raymond D. Dator announced that the last of the street signs had been installed in town in preparation for the inauguration of home mail delivery. Township engineer F. E. Harley had assigned the house numbers. Residents would be notified of the new numbers by postcard within a week. The public meeting on the plan was to be held later in the month. When all of that had been completed, Mr. Dator said, the next step would be up to the Post Master. (Bristow)
