Newlyweds Evelyn B. Vogelin of Armour Road and George Miller of Philadelphia departed for a honeymoon in Nantucket after their wedding at the Immaculate Conception Church in Darlington. They met while attending Ursinus College. The groom was a veteran of three years in the army during World War II. He had been awarded the Silver Star, the Bronze Star, and the Purple Heart with two oak leaf clusters. The new couple planned to live in Philadelphia where the groom planned to continue with graduate work at the University of Pennsylvania. (Bristow)
