George L. Rossiter, who had lived for 28 years on Wyckoff Ave. in Ramsey, died. He had been born in Wales in 1871 and came to this country in 1900. He had served for 17 years with the British Army in India, where his parents had been missionaries. He held the rank of Major in the Bihar Light Horse. He also was manager of an indigo plantation. At the time of his death he was active as a manufacturer of brushes. Funeral services were held at St. John’s Episcopal Church. He was survived by four children, seven grandchildren, and two sisters and a brother in Britain. (Bristow)
