Joseph P. Stocker, a resident of Ramsey for most of his life, died at a Park Ridge sanitarium. He was 81 years old. He was born in Austria on June 28, 1864 and had come to this country as an infant. For most of his working life he had been a checker at the American Brake Shoe plant in Mahwah. After his retirement there he ran a shoe repair business in Ramsey in a shop next to the American Legion (later VFW) Hall. (Bristow)
