This Day in History: 1945-02-27

Richard Jennings, 88, a Mahwah native died.  He was born on November 27, 1857 the son of Samuel and Sarah Jennings.  He was employed for many years at Henry Hevemeyer’s Morningside farm.  He was survived by his wife Sarah, a daughter Ellen Meade of Mahwah, and several grandchildren.  The funeral was at Wanamaker &Carlough with burial in the Union Cemetery in Ramsey.
