Three of the four “John”s chosen as officers of the Holy Name Society of the Immaculate Conception Church were from Mahwah, according to a report from Father Lester A. Quinn. John Cogan was elected Vice President, John Callahan as secretary and John Cloonan as treasurer. Only John Heavy of Oakland, chosen for the top job, as President, was not from Mahwah.
