This Day in History: 1942-03-09

At the monthly meeting of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Fire Department held at Mrs. Edwin Scherer’s home, various activities were discussed, all of them requiring money from their treasury.  Eventually the group decided to buy a $100 Defense Bond with their money.
