This Day in History: 1940-05-24
It was the field trip season in school number 7, Cragmere. Grade Four went on a tour of the Sheffield Farms. Grade Five spent the day in New York City visiting the Museum of Natural History and the Hayden Planetarium. For some of the students it was their first visit to New York City and going over the George Washington Bridge and through the Lincoln Tunnel. Grade Six, as a part of their study of the Renaissance, spent the morning in the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the afternoon at the Cloisters. (Bristow)
