The TWP School Board considered the problem of whether a new auditorium should be built. Some members of the Board visited nearby schools and reported particularly favorably concerning Allendale’s facility. The stage can be converted into a basketball court and sloping floor gives it good sight lines for the audience. Present plans call for it to be built between the School and the Cemetery, although many lamented the fact that the vacant lot across from the School belonged to the Town and not the Board. If it did, the proposed auditorium might be the first stage of a new school.(Bristow)
