This Day in History: 1938-07-04
The ninth annual Ramsey Fourth of July parade was declared to be the longest ever held, taking forty minutes to pass a single point. A number of visiting companies lent their support to the various Ramsey organizations who marched. Cups in various categories were won by visitors from the Waldwick, Midland Park, and Mahwah Fire Companies. Mahwah had the largest single contingent and used the occasion to show off their fine new truck. (Bristow)
