This Day in History: 1934-03-22
Although the question of appointing a committee to investigate the need for a zoning ordinance for the Township was not considered at the regular monthly meeting on March 15, a committee was named at the continuation of that adjourned meeting on March 22nd. The group named covered all parts of the Township. Edwin C. Lane represented east Mahwah, Albert Winter came from Mahwah proper, Frank Scherer came from West Mahwah, J. J. Vanderbeek was chosen from Fardale and Theodore Stuart came from Masonicus. A former member, F. W. Petri, refused reappointment because he was having eye trouble.
