The Mart, “The Miracle Store of New Jersey” in Paterson, advertised a dress sale. Rayon and cotton styles were $1.45 each. Silk prints began at $2.45, and silk suits were expensive at $4.45 each. They were claimed to be copied from higher priced models and to be priced “within the reach of every woman’s purse”. (Bristow)
