This Day in History: 1929-01-07

At the regular meeting of the Township Board of Education it was reported that quite a number of the students were ill with influenza and were remaining at home.  Some of the teachers were ill too, but they have been sticking to their posts.  Several children had been absent on that day to attend the first service ever held in the Greek Catholic Church on Island Road.
