This Day in History: 1928-03-20

Leonie Adams, the sister of Miss Josephine Adams, the teacher at the mountain school, received a Guggenheim fellowship.  This permitted her to retire from work to travel and continue her writing.  She was the author “Those Not Elect” and was connected with the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
