This Day in History: 1922-06-17
The Cragmere-Duo-Art Club was organized last October. The monthly meetings have been devoted to the study of the lives of various composers and to operatic and oratorio numbers. (The final performance of the year was an Operetta “Miss Cherryblossom” at the Mahwah Town Hall.) The settings were authentic, the chorus and orchestra performed well and the soloists were accomplished. All were coached and directed by Clyde A. Newall. Lois McClaudland and Mr. Newall sang the principal roles. (Bristow)
