Cragmere’s E. Douglas Hotchkiss, in a letter to the Ramsey Journal announced his complete opposition to the Prohibition Amendment. He labeled it an “attack on the liberties of the American people.” He said he would vote for no candidate, Republican or Democrat who supports this. He pointed out that no eastern or northern state had voted in favor of the amendments.
