In one of a series of articles “German Atrocities and German Goods”, readers of the Ramsey Journal were told of an American soldier who got lost in no man’s land and was found the next day completely hacked to pieces. German cutlery was the pride of the world, the author said. Since the war American knives and razors have begun to be manufactured. Are we going to continue to buy from Germans who use their beautiful knives for such butchery? “My buyer, it is up to you to decide…where you will buy your goods.”
