Robbers broke into the Mahwah Station. A bag of mail left when the 5:40 mail train did not arrive until 8:00 PM was broken into and checks and valuables stolen. James Briggs of Cragmere saw the thieves in the station as he came for a nearly morning train in tand summoned the station agent, Mr. Fairservice. By the time they returned the thieves had boarded the train. By telegraphing ahead the men were arrested and the checks and valuables recovered. They have been arranged on $2,500 bail each.
