This Day in History: 1911-01-20
Trolley service is expected to begin to Ramsey by the end of February and to Mahwah a little later. The rails are already laid through Ramsey and well into Mahwah, but construction is being held up by a property dispute in Allendale and the difficulties of building the trestle which will carry the cars over the Erie yards in Wyckoff. The trolley may not go beyond the New York State line since the Suffern Village fathers are making such high demands on the Company.
