This Day in History: 1908-10-25
A steady downpour has put out the forest fire which has been raging in the mountains in back of Darlington. At its height there had been considerable alarm concerning the safety of the houses in the area. Several buildings on the Crocker Estate were so threatened that an all-night fire watch was kept.
