This Day in History: 1899-02-12
The town was completely snowbound. All trains were stopped until the mail train, due shortly after 9 reached town after 2:00 PM. The rotary plow did not clear the tracks until the 14th. It was said that the thermometer went lower than it did during the blizzard of 1888.
