Abram W. Litchult died in his home on Clauson Avenue in Brooklyn. He had been born in Masonicus in 1828 and was 62 at the time of his death. He was very well known in this area since many local farmers shipped their produce to his firm for market. He was said to be famed for his uprightness and the warmth and geniality of his friendship. His business was to be carried on by his son, Abram, at the old stand at No. 190 Washington Street near Fulton Street in Manhattan. (Bristow)
