This Day in History: 1841-03-10
Law incorporating the Paterson and Ramapo Railroad passed. It was to be built from a suitable place in or near Paterson through Passaic and Bergen counties to some suitable place at the border between Franklin Township and the State of New York. The right of way was not to exceed 66′. The railroad permitted to charge 6 cents a mile for passengers and 10 cents per mile for a ton of freight.
