Description
Ramapo College Panel Discussion: A Student Perspective
From November 9, 2019
Members of the first class at Ramapo College Cynthia Brennan, Arthur Chill, John Durkin, and Nelson Ramirez discuss their experiences in 1971. Moderated by Charlie Carreras.
The students talk about the challenges they faced — the college was still under construction with no dorms — and about the unique experimental education the College offered. Students played an integral role in the development of the college, building a sense of community and shared purpose that still marks Ramapo today.
The panel discussion was held at the Ramapo College Trustees Pavilion, 505 Ramapo Valley Road, Mahwah, NJ.
