Lindsay Macarthur died at his home on West Ramapo Avenue after a long illness. The veteran of World War I was 61. He was born in Brooklyn and had been a Mahwah resident for 33 years. He was survived by his mother Mrs. Lillian E. Macarthur, his wife Alice, a daughter Patricia Alice and a son Lindsay Jr., and a sister Miss Marjorie Macarthur, all of Mahwah. Funeral services were held at the Mahwah Reformed Church with the REv. Howard Friebely officiating on the 31st, with interment in the Mahwah Cemetery.
