This Day In History: 1943-12-21
At the Township Committee meeting the annual report of Fire Company #2 was given by Chief Wrathall. The Company had answered 69 alarms during 1942 and spent sixty-four hours and forty-five minutes actually fighting fires. Only two members had made 100% duty during the year, Charles Morris and the Chief himself. It was complained, however that the company failed to respond to the last three fires in the Township, two brush fires and a fire at the Orthman Farm. No explanation was given for this failure.
