This Day in History: 1935-12-27
The Woman’s Club gave their annual young peoples dance at the Townhall. The patrons and patronesses were Mr. and Mrs. Stephen M. Biddle, Mr. and Mrs. George Buhlman and the dance Chairman Mrs. Arthur A. Harris, did much to make the evening for the “sub-debs” the best dance the town ever had. Among the pre-dance parties around town, before the event was one held by Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Chapman for their daughter Barbara and the dinner at which Irene Prendergast, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Prendergast entertained Marjorie Biddle, Robert Herrick, George Rountree and Sibley Reid. (Bristow)
