Named as the “Outstanding Young Man of the Year” was Captain Robert J. Wall of 96 East Slope Road in Mahwah + by the New York City Junior Board of Trade Wall had been the youngest master of any American merchant ship at age 28. Then aged 31 he was the traffic representative of the Farrell Line in New York. He received his award from Gerard McAlister o the Transportation and Communication Committee at the Board’s annual dinner at the Belmont Plaza hotel in Manhattan. He also received congratulations on the birth of his fourth son, Brian Francis, born on the 21st at Good Samaritan Hospital.
