This Day in History: 1955-03-15
The school Board delivered an ultimatum to the Lehmann Construction. In a resolution introduced by Mrs. Storms, the company was given three months to remove the fill from the schoolyard at the George Washington School or lose all rights to the fill. The Board was determined that there would be a playground at the school before it reopened in September. The matter had been pending for two years.
