At the School Board Meeting the extension of the Salk Polio vaccine program for another year was passed. In addition to pupils in grade three who were immunized the previous year, those in grades 1, 2 and 4 were to be covered Superintendent Austin reported that the advertisement for a janitor had resulted in about twenty interviews with applicants. He recommended the hiring of the best of these at an annual salary of $3,100.
