It was almost exclusively a family affairs when Alice Howard of Pompton Plains married George Norman of Jersey City. The bride’s brother, Everett Howard of Ridgewood, gave her away, another brother Harold was an usher, her sister Mrs. Carl Zipper was matron of honor and a third brother the Rev. Clarence S. Howard, pastor of the Ramapo Reformed Church performed the ceremony.
