Michael Worhol and President Rocco Miraglio, presented the proposal plans for the Company # 2 Firehouse, which is to be built on Island Road near the Greek Catholic Church. The land has been donated by the Brake Shoe Company and the design called for a two story structure 45 X 60 feet with a social hall upstairs. D.R. Sheppard office engineer of the Works Progress Administration, who was present, stated that he did not see any reason why the project should not be approved by his Agency for Federal Funding. It would take about four weeks after the final adoption of the plan by the TWP Committee. (Bristow)
