At a special assembly as School Number 2, Mahwah, forty-six graduating eighth graders were presented with Red Cross First Aid certificates. They had been prepared for the test by Miss Florence Gates, the school nurse. She had taken two rigorous courses given in Englewood in order to be certified as a first aid instructor. (Bristow)
