This Day in History: 1937-01-08
John J. Snak was reelected President of the Mahwah Citizens Club. He was the first President ever to succeed himself and was said to be highly esteemed in the community for the effective work he has done to hold the organization together. Albert Hopper and Jack Reich were accepted into membership by unanimous vote but two other members found delinquent and denied membership. The Club was open only to American Citizens. It devoted itself to improving the life of the West Mahwah area.
