This Day in History: 1934-05-23
The Church Aid met at the home of Miss Long. In the absence of the President, Mrs. Albert winter presided. Mrs. Schorr described the recent trip which the club took to a laundry. $19.69 was raised on that occasion, bringing the treasury up to $165.92. The group decided to skip the meeting scheduled for June 27th. While they were at it, they skipped the July and the August meeting too. They did not decide to skip the strawberry festival slated for June 6th however, and an all-day sewing session to make aprons for the Fall sale was called for June 13th. (Bristow)
