Tarvia* was spread on Miller Road, the block around the Park, and part of Ramapo Avenue to the school. The Township Committee considers itself lucky since war time regulations include a government ban on the non-military use of such substances. The Committee was later asked to try to secure some more to cover Ramapo Ave. from the school to Havermeyer Rd. because of the heavy traffic. (Bristow)
