This Day in History: 1916-09-25
Because of the Infantile Paralysis Epidemic, it was decided not to open the Township schools until September 25th. Although regular church services have been resumed, the Sunday School will remain closed until the regular school opens. When the schools did open, the attendance was down somewhat since on doctor’s orders children were kept home because of some cases of diphtheria and scarlet fever. (Bristow)
