Bergen County Game Warden John C. Reinbold came across Renzie DeGroat in the mountains and asked for his hunting license. DeGroat could not find it, although he claimed to have bought one. Reinbold took him down to the Town Clerk Sturr’s office and discovered that DeGroat had indeed bought one on October 20th. DeGroat was warned to carry his license, buy another or face arrest in the future. the son of Bud Mann was not so fortunate. When he was found without a license he was fined $20.00
