This Day in History: 1910-05-03
Mr. Henry Ryerson began taking the census in the mountain district. Some difficulty has been encountered in determining the ownership of the farms and cabins and it has been decided to simplify the section of the census form dealing with the cash value of crops. Census takers get 3 cents per name and $2.00 per day for their work.
