This Day in History: 1907-09-11
At the Township Board of Education meeting a general discussion was had regarding the conditions at the Darlington School and the need for another teacher. There are presently 56 pupils enrolled and only one teacher. No action was taken and the subject was put off for one week. The matter was still under discussion in November with 58 students enrolled and 33 subjects to teach. The teacher said that all he could do was to hear lessons. (Bristow)
