Mahwah Museum Plans to Reopen in September

The Mahwah Museum plans to reopen in September, assuming all things go well.

The Museum is regularly closed in July and August to update exhibits. We will be featuring a new exhibit, “The Woman’s Hour,” which explores the passage of the 19th Amendment that granted women the right to vote; an updated “Palisades Amusement Park in Miniature,” featuring new artifacts; and a new selection of photographs in the Lee Vold Gallery. September will also see the return of the Les Paul Exhibit, “A College Comes to Mahwah: Ramapo College 1965-1975.” and the Donald Cooper Model Railroad exhibits.
We are working under the governor’s guidelines to ensure that when we reopen we can maintain our exhibits in a manner that keeps patrons and staff safe. Our Les Paul 105th birthday celebration, held remotely, was our first effort to develop and deliver programs online. We are evaluating the best ways to deliver our lectures and other programming to meet the needs for social distancing. Stay safe everybody.
