Carmel Retreat Center, formerly The Clarence Chapman Estate, on Rt. 202, Ramapo Valley Road, Mahwah.
Mahwah Museum members were invited to join a very special tour of the Carmel Retreat House, formerly the Chapman Estate, which has been acquired by the Hackensack Meridian Health Carrier Clinic. The tour was conducted by Donald Parker, President of the Carrier Clinic.
Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) and the Carrier Clinic recently merged with the objective of improving behavioral health treatment in northern New Jersey. Kelly Briggs, Administrative Director of Integrative Health and Medicine for the Carrier Clinic, facilitated the tour. A huge thank you to Membership Chair John Fesen for making this tour available for museum members; we hope to have more events like this in the future.
