Collection Details

Biographical / Historical Note:   Mahwah Township contracted with the Cruz Construction Company (Contract MA-020-15A) to repair do repair work on the curbs and driveways. A photographic team from Stephen C. Lane, who specialized in photography for the construction industry, took a series of photographs between March and August 1978 documenting the conditions of the streets. It appears that this is not a complete set of photographs, as a list of sites photographed on June 1, 1978 was found with the collection, showing streets in the Cragmere section—but those photographs have not been found.

Collection Description: Photographs document crumbling curbs, driveways, and street scenes from streets in West Mahwah.
