2019-2020 Public Events Schedule

 Special Events:

 Mahwah Museum holds/attends/co-hosts many special events, in addition to our regular lectures, throughout the year.


Nov. 10-16, 2019:  Train Display at Mahwah Public Library. At Mahwah Public Library, 100 Ridge Road Mahwah, NJ.

Nov. 09-10, 2019:  Troop Trains Running on the DCMRR for Veterans Day. 1-4 pm.  At Mahwah Museum.

November 13, 2019:  Northwest Bergen History Coalition and the Historical Society of Rockland Luncheon and Presentation- Prohibition Years in Bergen and Rockland County– 11 am at Ramsey Country Club. $50.00 per person.

November 14, 2019: History Trivia Night at Mahwah Bar and Grill. 7 pm.  2 Island Rd, Mahwah.

November 29, 2019- December 20, 2019: Holiday Trains Display and Special Friday Night hours at our Donald Cooper Model RR exhibit. Open regular hours, PLUS Friday nights from 6-8 pm.  At Mahwah Museum.

December 20, 2019: Santa Claus visits the Donald Cooper Model RR!  7 – 7:30 pm.  Santa will be making a special stop at the Donald Cooper Model RR exhibit.  At Mahwah Museum.


January 11, 2020: Screening of Film “American Native” 11:00am at Mahwah Museum. More information coming soon.


2018-2019 Lecture Schedule:


Admission is free to Museum Members and $5.00 for others.  Refreshments are served after the lecture.

December 5, 2019: Using DNA Testing for Genealogy.  Presented by Dr. Cathy Hajo.  At Mahwah Museum.  7:30 pm.



January 18, 2020:  Life at Ramapo in Year One- Faculty Perspective. Panel Discussion. At Mahwah Museum.  11 am.
