2016-2017 Public Events Schedule

The Mahwah Museum holds many special events and displays in addition to our regular exhibits throughout the year.

 

April 20, 2017– Annual Membership Meeting. You MUST be a member of the Mahwah Museum to attend this meeting. Click here for more information.

May 20, 2017– WWI Centennial Bazaar, hosted by the Northwest Bergen History Coalition, at the Hermitage. Click here for more information.

 

The Mahwah Museum presents monthly history lectures and gallery talks that are open to the public.

Lectures are held in the Education Building of the Ramapo Reformed Church, 100 Island Road in Mahwah and begin at 7:30 p.m.

Refreshments are served after the lecture and admission is free to Museum Members and $3.00 for others. Reservations can be made by calling the Museum at 201.512.0099 or clicking here.

February 9 – Kay Yeomans, “USR Stone House Embodies Area History: The Story of The Hopper-Goetschius House”- This lecture has been CANCELED -This lecture will be rescheduled for a later date.

April 13 – Tom Dunn, “Cragmere in the Ramapos”

Gallery talks take place in the upstairs gallery of the Museum. They provide an in-depth look at DSCF2435various subjects and allow participants to ask questions and add to the discussion.

Gallery talks take place on select Sunday afternoons at 1:15 p.m and are free to museum members or with paid admission to the museum. Reservations can be made by clicking here to e-mail us or by calling 201.512.0099.

Please note – parts of the Museum exhibits may have limited access during Gallery Talks and will reopen once the talk has finished.
